| Throughout the season, the attention
and glory often goes straight to the Drivers. As
everyone should know, motor racing is a team sport!
Here is a quick look at the teams behind the drivers. |

Location: Derbyshire
Team Principal: Julian Lane
Drivers in 2005: Cliff
Jobson
Website: www.joospeed.co.uk
Contact: 01246 456660
The name Joospeed is identified
with high performance upgrades for TVR road cars
so it was inevitable that Joolz would eventually
make his way into the TVRCC Challenge. Joolz'
technological input showed as the Joospeed prepared
blue-then-yellow 2.8 Tasmin quickly developed
throughout the season to finish fifth overall
under Cliff's command. Joolz has enviable links
with ex-Formula One technicians and British GT
development engineers which puts Joospeed at the
forefront of TVR road and race development. Complimenting
the modified suspension on car 27 this season
is Cosworth 24v power and improved weight distribution,
it has been a busy winter!

Over the five years that they have been racing
TVR's, Moore Racing has become one of the driving
forces behind the TVRCC series, having won the
overall championship twice with Steve Lewis. Only
V8 Racing has been able to challenge their dominance
in the series.
Moore Racing specialises
in the preparation and racing setup of motorsports
cars in the UK. They offer ongoing support, maintenance
and performance upgrades for BMWs, TVR racing
cars and sports cars, as well as restoration and
rebuilds of Aston Martin and other classic cars.
Their huge articulated
race transporter will continue to be at the heart
of the TVR Village on race days, where team members
can always be found offering help and advice to
competitors from the smaller teams. This year
Moore Racing will again be supporting several
300bhp+ TVRs as well as running a few hire cars.
Anyone interested in a race in the TVRCC Challenge
Cup this year would be well advised to give them
a call

RT Racing
Location: Yorkshire
Address: 39, Bailey Street, Sheffield, S1 4EH
Team Principal: Richard Thorpe
Drivers in 2005: Steve
Hall, Tim Broughton
Website: www.rtracing.co.uk
Contact: 0114 281 7507
Richard Thorpe and RT
Racing have long been synonymous with TVR and
especially the Wedge series. It's probably no
surprise that with Steve Lewis he was one of the
founders of the TVRCC racing series.
He has been responsible
for bringing in much new blood to the series,
and has acquired a reputation for building more
and more outrageous race cars. His latest project
will see his test pilot, Steve Hall, flying an
ex-tuscan challenge car with a 5.7litre V8 and
a Tasmin Series 1 body attached. That has just
got to be worth a trip to the races to see.

Location: Leicestershire
Address: TMS Performance Vehicles, Beler Way,
Leicester Road, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire
Team Principal: Peter O'Connor
Drivers in 2005: Paul
Glynn, Steve Guglielmi, Richard
Wright
Website: www.tmstvr.co.uk
Contact: 01664 481065
Melton Mowbray based TVR
dealers TMS Performance Cars will be campaigning
two cars in 2005. Once again they will be campaigning
their distinctive red Griffith 500, alongside
a "new" TVR Tuscan Challenge car. A new engine
is currently in build for the TMS Griffith and
the car will be driven by TMS Service Manager
Paul Glynn and Steve Guglielmi who between them
have developed the car from scratch over the past
three seasons. The Griffith also features Nitron
suspension for whom TMS are local dealers.
The new Tuscan Challenge
car will be driven by Richard Wright, and his
son Ben. Richard owns the most original TVR in
existence, TVR 2, which is on display in the TMS
showroom, and is also responsible for the TMS
race transporter and hospitality awning.
All of the TMS team are
friendly and enthusiastic, and are always on hand
to offer interested spectators a cup of coffee
and a look round the racing cars. They are looking
forward to another year of close racing, particularly
with Simon Bowes, with whom they often proved
the highlight of races during the 2004 season.

Location: Scotland

Estate, Near Haddington, East Lothian
Team Principal: Noel Flannery
Drivers in 2005: Simon
Bowes

2005 will be the third
year in competition for the Anglo-Scottish team
run by Noel Flannery and Paul Stephenson. Formed
in 2003 the team dominated the championship at
their first attempt, with eight wins in one season.
When the series expanded
in 2004, it made sense to prepare and race a TVR
Griffith. Paul's company, Bedlington Motor Company,
are independent suppliers of TVRs and have long
been associated with Noels company, V8 Sports
and Classics. Paul located an accident damaged
car, and Noel and the team rebuilt the car from
the ground up. Years of experience in extracting
performance with after market products from ACT,
Nitron, Leven Technology and Mark Adams was put
to good use to ensure that the bright orange Griffith
was at the front of the grid straight out of the
box, claiming six wins in the season.
For 2005, Noel and his
chief mechanic, Frank, will continue to rack up
thousands of miles, determined to regain the championship,
whilst enjoying the friendly rivalry that characterises
the TVR paddock.
Noel is always very willing
to help out, so make sure you say hi if you're
in the paddock. He also has the 2003 Championship
winning car for sale or hire if you're interested
in taking part.

Black Cat Racing
Drivers
in 2005: Graham
Walden
Black Cat Racing is made up
of Graham and his long suffering father, Ian (Pops)
Walden. They prepare their car from their garage
in Kidderminster, and have steadily improved to
their best position of 2nd overall last year,
with some help from Moore Racing. Grahams performance
on track helped save what little hair Ian had
left in 2004, as his sons tendancy for spectacular
spins melted away. Having finally got the hang
of things, 2005 will re-test Ian's versatility
as he is presented with a totally different challenge
- a racing Tuscan.

Behind the Wheel/Team 34 Racing
Drivers
in 2005: Steve
Watton
Team 34 Racing is made up of
Steve Watton, Rick Ireland, Paul Welsh, Carol
Watton and Nigel Reuben. Despite being based near
Worcester, the teams main mechanic, Rick travels
from South Wales to work on the car on a weekly
basis. Paul is not so far away, just the other
side of Worcester. The main element of the team
is Steve's wife, Carol. She contributes enormously,
knows more about the sport than most men and is
the main fund provider. Steve just sits and pushes
pedals and twirl that wheel thingy in front of
him.
Technical input comes from long
time mate Nigel, who is the main technical expert
behind the whole build of the car. He's a seven
time championship winner himself in a variety
of formula and he knows just what makes a car
tick and can get in and show you how to drive
it if needs be. He runs 'Behind the Wheel Motorsport
Preparation', in Bromsgrove and is a leading expert
in the preparation of classic TVR's. A great deal
of work is also put in by Nigel's brother Duncan
and Keith Ticer. These two also have years of
experience in building TVR's and without these
three the car would be no-where near as good as
it is.
The other person who has helped
when ever asked is Chris Schirle, also an expert
TVR builder.

Team TVR Power
Drivers
in 2005: Marc
Hockin
The TVR Power team is another
Father and Son arrangement, with the technical
skills provided by father Tony Hockin, from his
Garage in Devon. They are a dark horse team, and
with backing from TVR Power could surprise everyone.
